Born in Marysville Kansas in 1956, moved to Downs, Kansas in 1957. I grew up in a great farming community, hunting, fishing, and working for local farmers and businesses including my parents at Merle’s Cafe.

My parents were a big influence on my work ethics and always encouraged me to learn new things every day. I graduated high school in 1974 and entered the concrete construction field starting a lifelong career in all areas residential, commercial, and KDOT projects. I have worked for BBD for several years on various CDOT projects while residing in Kansas and started full time in July 2016. My wife and I have 6 kids, 16 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. I enjoy family time, cooking, competition BBQ and classic cars. Hands down Buildings By Design has been the best part of my career!
